Irene Chan’s (Professor, Visual Arts) artist book FISH OUT of WATER was recently added into the permanent collection of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.

Monique Crabb (IMDA ‘22) has a solo exhibition of her work I Close My Eyes to See in the Project Space at Currents Gallery in Baltimore, July 25 – September 14, with an opening reception on Friday July 25, 7 – 10 PM.

Danielle d’Amico (IMDA ’21) currently has work featured in the exhibition Fervor at Hamilton Gallery in Baltimore, up through August 31. 

Jason Charney (IMDA ‘20 ) is performing in the original multimedia work Summoned into Form with his electracoustic trio The Arm at The Voxel Theatre in Baltimore, August 15 & 16.

Michael E. Martin (Affiliate Artist, Music) will give two presentations and participate in an authors’ panel at the 10th International GIML Conference on Music Learning Theory, July 15 – 17 in Chicago, IL. 

Lee Boot (Director, Imaging Research Center) contributed the essay Exposing Ourselves: Elucidating Artists’ Methods to Better Establish Their Value in Critical Research to the book Integrative Contemporary Art and Science Practices: Building Catalytic Structures, published by Routledge and edited by J.D. Talasek, Barbara Stauffer.

Lynn Cazabon (Director, CIRCA and Professor, Visual Arts) will present and activate her ongoing project Losing Winter as part of the Climate Histories Art Interventions at the 2025 European Society for Environmental History Climate Histories Conference in Uppsala, Sweden, August 18 – 22.

Eric Millikin’s (Assistant Professor, Visual Arts) animated film The Dance of the Nain Rouge is an award winner in the Short Way International Film Festival in Sao Paolo, Brazil where it will be shown on August 16.

Timothy Nohe’s (Professor, Visual Arts) short video Telemetry has been nominated for the Best Experimental USA award in the Alternative Film Festival in Toronto, Ontario.

Angela N. Carroll (Visual Arts ‘05) contributed an essay to the catalog for the exhibition Chop Shop: We Are Here at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts and Culture in Charlotte, NC.

Ahlam Khamis, McCoy Chance and Mariia Usova (IMDA ‘25) were selected to have their work included in the 16th Annual Youngblood exhibition at Maryland Art Place, July 10 – August 24, with an opening reception on Thursday July 10, 6 – 9pm.

Melissa Penley Cormier (IMDA ‘17) will have her work featured in a solo exhibition in the Olwine Gallery at the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art, Millersburg, PA, August 2 – November 15 with an opening reception on August 2, 1 – 4pm.

Leah Michaels’ (IMDA ‘19) film Moon Crab will be featured in the 2025 Jersey Shore Film Festival, June 19 – July 2 and in the Woods Hole Film Festival, July 26 – August 2.

JLS Gangswich (IMDA ‘18) curated the exhibition Muscle on view at the Ely Center of Contemporary Art in collaboration with the New Haven Pride Center, New Haven, CT, June 20 – July 18.
